South Goa MP Francisco Sardinha has said that he has submitted a Private Member Bill in the Lok Sabha suggesting an Amendment to the existing Act to make bull fights(Dhirios) a part of sports
The MP, however, admitted that there’s a long way to go as the Bill should first come before Parliament for discussion and debate before it gets a nod from the law makers.
Dhirios have been a part of the goan tradition for a long time ,people's livelyhood was dependent on it.I think it should be legalised as long as the animals involved are taken care of.
Dhirios is to Goa what bull riding is to Texas and bull riding and bull fighting is to spain .If this sports are legal so should be Dhirios.
